- Amita Kumar initiated her footprints in the social sector by running an NGO that worked purely on spreading awareness and taking steps for women's hygiene.
- After that, she started her startup named Sakhi to make maternity pad and ensure women's wellness postpartum. This startup is highly appreciated and helped improve women's condition in remote areas of Chattisgarh, India.
- She is a qualified family counselor working in women's cell to hear, address, and advise on family matters.
